In addition to the coordinated efforts of the ICH Global Cooperation Group (GCG) to address requests for training, the need for training and capacity building is also being addressed unilaterally by many GCG members. Several regulators, including the EMA, US FDA and Health Canada routinely offer training possibilities for other regulators. APEC has also taken the initiative of establishing the "APEC Harmonization Center" (AHC) in Seoul, Republic of Korea, which offers comprehensive training programmes with a view to further promoting regulatory harmonisation in the region.
