In addition to the coordinated efforts undertaken in the ICH Global Cooperation session of the Steering Committee to address requests for training, the need for training and capacity building is also being addressed unilaterally by ICH members. Several regulators, including the EMA, US FDA and Health Canada routinely offer training possibilities for other regulators. APEC has also taken the initiative of establishing the "APEC Harmonization Center" (AHC) in Seoul, Republic of Korea, which offers comprehensive training programmes with a view to further promoting regulatory harmonisation in the region.
