ICH Public Events
- Meetings
In Brussels, in May 2007, the ICH Steering Committee agreed to the organisation of smaller, more frequent and more focused ICH public meetings, in lieu of the previously organised international ICH Conferences.
It was agreed that these public meetings would take place either as one-day meetings at the end of ICH Steering Committee meetings, or as ICH-branded regional meetings in collaboration with other non-profit organisations.

Description:The meeting entitled "ICH Japan Symposium 2012" is the fourth regional ICH public meeting held in Japan which took place at the Tsuda Hall, Shibuya-ku in Tokyo in July 2012.
The Symposium provide an opportunity to update the public on the progress made during the ICH meeting in Fukuoka in June 2012 and on the status of the various ICH Guidelines under development. It was also an opportunity for participants and the ICH experts/rapporteurs to have a face to face Q&As session on all topics discussed at the Fukuoka Meetings.
The Symposium was jointly organised by the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Regulatory Science Society of Japan (PMRJ, non-profit organisation), and supported by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), the Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association of Japan, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association of Tokyo, the Osaka Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association and the Japan Pharmaceutical Association.

Description:A public meeting entitled “Preparation for ICH Steering Committee and Expert Working Group Meetings in Fukuoka, Japan” was held on 14 May 2012, in Silver Spring, Maryland. The meeting which was hosted by FDA with participation from Health Canada and PhRMA, provided information on the ICH in general as well as the ICH Steering Committee and Expert Working Group meetings in Fukuoka, Japan, on 2-7 June 2012. The topics discussed at the public meeting were the topics for discussion at the Cincinnati meeting, and the purpose of the meeting was to solicit public input prior to the meeting.

Description:A public meeting entitled “Preparation for ICH Steering Committee and Expert Working Group Meetings in Cincinnati, Ohio” was held on 19 May 2011, in Rockville, Maryland. The meeting which was co-hosted by FDA and PhRMA, and with participation from Health Canada, provided information on the ICH as well as the ICH Steering Committee and Expert Working Group meetings that was going to take place in Seville, Spain, on 5-10 November 2011. The topics discussed at the public meeting were the topics for discussion at the Seville meeting, and the purpose of the meeting was be solicit public input prior to the meeting.

Description:The meeting entitled "ICH Japan Symposium 2010" is the third regional ICH public meeting held in Japan which took place at the Tsuda Hall, Shibuya-ku in Tokyo in December 2010.

The Symposium was well attended with over 230 participants from the regulatory authorities and the pharmaceutical industry. The participants had the opportunity to receive an update on the progress, to enhance the mutual understanding, and to meet with ICH regulators and industry experts from the region.

Description:The meeting entitled "ICH Japan Symposium 2009" is the second regional ICH public meeting held in Japan which took place at the Tower Hall Funabori in Tokyo on June 12, 2009, the following day of the ICH Yokohama Meeting (June 6 - 11, 2009). The Symposium aimed to provide an opportunity to update to the public on the progress made during the ICH meeting in Yokohama and on the status of the various ICH guidelines under development. It also aimed to provide an opportunity for participants and the ICH experts/rapporteurs to have a Q&A on a face-to-face basis on all the topics discussed at the Yokohama Meeting.

Description:The first European regional public ICH meeting took place at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Brussels on 14 November 2008.
This public ICH meeting provided an opportunity to be informed on the recent developments at ICH in the context of globalisation and increasing international inter-agency cooperation. It also provided an opportunity to receive the latest news on "hot topics", to make comments to the ICH experts and rapporteurs and to raise questions on quality topics, standards development topics and efficacy topics.
This event gave participants the opportunity to meet with regulators and industry experts from both ICH and non-ICH regions.

Description:Based on the decision of the Steering Committee, the first regional ICH public meeting was held in Tokyo, Japan on November 2, 2007, following the ICH Steering Committee meeting in Yokohama. The meeting entitled "ICH Tokyo Symposium: Hot Topics and Influence on Asia", was a great success attracting a large number of participants.
